Kallie had such an amazing serious model look and a connection with he camera that not everyone has, but then when she flashed that smile of hers it literally made the photo light up. By doing nothing more than going from a serious look to a smile the whole feel and look of the image would change, it was incredible.
We added an off camera flash with a soft box to this image as the harsh sun was coming in from one side and although we wanted highlight I also wanted a sharp fashion feel to the images too and by balancing natural light with flash we got that look. Also, checkout that catch light in her beautiful eyes that makes her eyes so sharp and mesmerizing.
The softness of the Spanish moss hanging from the trees and the hard wooded fence contrast beautifully, the moss framing the model and the fence giving a leading line telling your eyes where to look, not that you need much direction when you have a model that is so photogenic, but as the eye explores the photo, the leading lines keep sending you back to the star of the image.
To top it all off, we got a perfectly timed gust of wind that just opened up her hair at the right time. I wish I could have taken credit for that, but I can't control the wind outside. Yet.
