Sometimes the skies don't cooperate, sometimes we don't get the crazy colors of a sunset but that's the fun of shooting with skies in the background. You never know what you will get but you do know that it will be unique. The sky for this shoot got really overcast and all this drama started to appear in the sky above the Mississippi River in downtown Baton Rouge.
For me, this was one of the coolest shots I captured all year. Using a slow shutter and then freezing the high school senior model with off camera flash is certainly a trick I love using. I am sure you can see why.
